Summer Holiday Club 2026!

After our fantastic and enjoyable Holiday Clubs over the last three years, we’re doing the same again this year!

Running from 10th – 14th August (10am – 4:30pm each day), the week-long holiday club is aimed at local children who’d like to make new friends, who enjoy being active, want to care for the environment, and are creative (with crafts and music).

Each day is based a round a biblical theme (eg the Good Samaritan, Creation, etc) with activities including team games, quizzes, crafts, and the chance to learn some beautiful music. There’s a daily video after lunch, and plenty of time to chat and make new friends. The church grounds and buildings are closed to other visitors, making for a safe and unique location which the children can use for the whole week. Each day ends at 4pm with a short service which the children themselves lead, giving them responsibilities that most won’t have had previously. This includes lighting candles, ringing the bell, presenting the theme for the day with a bible reading, leading prayers, and singing some great songs!

The cost for each child for the week is £90, (including morning and afternoon refreshments, but not lunch). Discounts are available for (i) early booking (by 10th July); (ii) families with siblings attending; (iii) those families who already attend St John’s. And if your family genuinely can’t afford this amount, we have a discretionary bursary scheme available (apply for details). Early drop-off from 9am is possible for a small additional payment.
