Welcome to our family
St John’s is a place to belong – whether you’re from the local area around West Byfleet, or further afield. We’re a friendly and caring place, whatever your age or stage of faith. For those already familiar with church, we’re part of the Church of England, with a liberal catholic ethos – we support the ordination of women, and we hope you’ll enjoy worshipping with us, wherever you’re from, or whatever your status, gender or sexuality.
If you’re new to the Christian faith, we’ll help you find out more; if you have questions, we’ll help you find answers; if your faith is wavering, perhaps we can help you through difficult times? Whoever you are, whatever your situation, you’re welcome here!
St John’s is usually open during the day, providing a space to pray, sit, think or be still. When the building is closed, you are welcome to spend time in the church grounds, including using the picnic tables for lunch when the weather permits.
St John’s as you’ve never seen it before! Aerial views of both outside and inside the church, set to music
Join us this Sunday – 5th Sunday of Easter – Our usual 8am (said) communion service, or at 10am for our Parish Eucharist Service . If you missed any of our services they are available on our YouTube channel here. If you’d like to spend some time in quiet reflection and prayer, the church is open this coming week Monday – Friday from around 10am – 3pm (Wednesday from 11am).
Can we pray for you?
There are occasions when each one of us feels a need for the support of prayer – and during difficult and taxing times, there may be any number of additional reasons why any of us might want someone to pray with or for us. There’s no need to explain why you need the prayer (unless you choose) – just ask.
Send an email to admin@stjohnswestbyfleet.org.uk or phone 01932 851830 (Geoff Jones) who will make sure that your request is made known to the Ministry Team. Be assured that you, or those you are seeking prayer for, will be prayed for. The same goes for other needs you may have – please get in touch if you need help and we will see what can be done.
